Agent, directed by Surender Reddy, is a high-octane Telugu spy thriller that promises intense action but struggles with execution. Starring Akhil Akkineni as an aspiring RAW agent and Mammootty as the formidable RAW Chief, the film also features Dino Morea as the menacing rogue agent "God." Despite a grand production scale and action-packed sequences, Agent fell short of expectations, receiving mixed-to-negative reviews.

The film follows Ramakrishna "Ricky" (Akhil Akkineni), a rebellious young man obsessed with becoming a RAW agent. His skills catch the attention of Col. Mahadev (Mammootty), who assigns him a high-stakes mission: infiltrate a deadly terrorist organization called The Syndicate. However, Ricky soon realizes that the mastermind behind the organization is Dharma (Dino Morea), a former RAW agent who went rogue after a tragic betrayal. As Dharma prepares to unleash a devastating virus, Ricky must prove his worth and prevent a global catastrophe.

While Agent boasts stylish visuals, adrenaline-pumping action, and a strong performance by Mammootty, it falters due to a weak script, excessive length, and over-the-top execution. Akhil Akkineni delivers a committed performance with intense action scenes, but the lack of a solid storyline undermines his efforts. Dino Morea, in his Telugu debut, brings a sinister presence, but the writing doesn't give his character enough depth.

The background score by Hiphop Tamizha adds energy, but the screenplay fails to maintain consistent engagement. Despite a promising setup, the film's predictable plot, excessive action sequences, and weak emotional depth result in a commercial disappointment at the box office.
