Sonu Sood steps into the director’s chair with Fateh, an action-packed thriller that takes on the dark world of cybercrime. Starring Sood himself in the lead role, alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vijay Raaz, the film follows an ex-agent who reenters the battlefield to take down a powerful cyber mafia. With a mix of high-octane action, intense drama, and social relevance, Fateh aims to be a gripping experience but struggles to maintain its momentum.

The film introduces Fateh Singh (Sonu Sood), a former special ops officer turned dairy farmer in Punjab. His peaceful life takes a turn when a local girl, Nimrit Kaur (Shiv Jyoti Rajput), falls victim to a cybercrime ring led by Raza (Naseeruddin Shah) and Satya Prakash (Vijay Raaz). Teaming up with ethical hacker Khushi Sharma (Jacqueline Fernandez), Fateh embarks on a mission to dismantle the syndicate and rescue Nimrit.

The plot, though intriguing, follows a predictable path. Sonu Sood delivers a solid performance, effortlessly pulling off action sequences, but the emotional depth feels lacking. Jacqueline Fernandez plays her role with charm, though her character lacks complexity. Naseeruddin Shah and Vijay Raaz shine as antagonists, bringing menace and intensity to the screen.

The film’s action sequences are well-choreographed, featuring a blend of hand-to-hand combat and cyber warfare. Cinematographer Vincenzo Condorelli captures the gritty realism of the cyber underworld effectively. However, the screenplay by Ankur Pajni and Sood himself feels uneven, with moments of brilliance overshadowed by clichéd storytelling. The background score by John Stewart Eduri builds tension well, while the soundtrack, featuring tracks by Yo Yo Honey Singh, adds commercial appeal.

Despite its noble attempt to address cybercrime, Fateh struggles at the box office, earning an estimated ₹14–30.07 crore against its ₹50 crore budget. While the film delivers thrilling moments, it lacks the novelty to stand out in the action thriller genre. Nonetheless, fans of Sonu Sood’s action persona might enjoy it as a one-time watch.
